Disturbed as most of the rest of the motorsportinglingly inclined world no doubt is (apart, perhaps, from those frothing their leather walking shortzen at the impending return of Schumacher the Elder) by Spanky’s enthusiastic thrusting forward of He Who Believeth Not In Racing to take the FIA in an ever more reptilian direction, I am offering the following Microsoft Paint’d logoway (Bike Snob NYC is too good not to steal from) to the Ari Vatinen campaign.

Besides, Shorty the French would no doubt cramp the diminutive style of Shorty the Mad Brit in the gnome stakes. So it just wouldnt work.

According to Pitpass, Luca de Montezemolo was waving goodbye to Spanky,

montezemolo

when Spanky decided to get cross again,

jerkyspanky

and now, like an evil, elderley Mary Poppins,

moselypoppins

is threatening to not give up his post in October.

Gosh. Who couldve seen that coming? As it were.

Again – Please Spanky. Go Away.

Pitpass is reporting that Chuckles, here…

laterz

…will be sodding the heck off at re-election time in October.

I can only assume that he has taken a look at my previous post and has decided that, well, it’s just not worth it. Then again, maybe something else gave him the message…

Which is all good, but Im not 100% convinced. He’s trotted out the same line before and that turned out to be a pile of, ah, cobblers.

Ube crossed ’till Jyugatsu!

I have avoided using profanity in either of my blogs, because when written, it seems a cheap way of getting your point across. That said, the antics, blathering, arrogance, bullying, manipulation and jerk-headedness of Max Mosley over the past few years have reduced me to violent fits of Tourette’s like carry-on behind the keyboard more and more frequently.

For some informed commentary, Joe Saward’s excellent blog and Pitpass are worth a visit.

Lest I conclude a post without pictures…

moselyparty

First he partied with the leydies…

moselyparty2

Woohoo! Go Spanky!

moselyredface

Then he got angry. Grrr.

mosley

Then he got shouty and pointy. Which really hasnt helped anybody.

Hopefully tomorrow I can post that he is gone. But probably not.

So, Max – Go Away. Please.

Our homeboy, Big Boss Okuyama san, of Shelby’s No.20 has achieved yet more fame, this time in El Publishing’s T Shirts Book…

…& because I am a cheesy git, I had him sign my copy.

Picked up a nice new hat at the same time.

Even the Shelby’s till receipt is cool. Ahhh… details.

Also, something entertaining in the Harley Davidson section of the T Shirts Book – check out the dude in the middle in the white shirt:

Yep. His Daddy rides a Harley.

Oh well. Be proud of who you are, I guess.

Words worth reading from Dickie Meadon are over at Drivers Republic.

Just cant stop meself, really.

The arrival of Spring got me so het up, I even felt the need to create the Zombie Sakura of Doom.

Spring had really gotten me by the paintbrush, so this poor box was the victim.

That shadow is either my head or my knee. They both look pretty similar.

Subliminal Projects Gallery in LA held a John Van Hamersveld gig, so um, yeah, I did this…

Endless Summer Rules!!!

Still on the Zombie Sakura trip… This might go on for a while.

…of cash, then I’d be surprised that you would be reading this.

But you might like to know that the Greenwood Corvette…

…could be traded for some of that wedge in August.

I pinched the image and got the lowdown from Sports Car Digest.

…but wasnt invited anyway.

Every fool and his or her pet have posted re Ken Block’s Gymkhana 2 video, but I figured that I may as well, just to say “Crikey”. I followed the instructions and resisted any temptation to go out and purchase DC product after viewing. Wasnt too difficult. I prefer Vans. But nice vid.

As it is not polite to post without some sort of image, here’s some comedy from the car park of the Coco’s family feedbag up the road from ‘ome.

I threatened several months ago, after posting a shot of a fine Nissan Gloria that I’d taken a fancy to, to post some more stuff from Flyrat in Minami Machida. A visit to Flyrat this past week has spurred me into some form on action. Wot ho!

Also a few months ago at Flyrat, I saw an Hakosuka GT-R being unloaded from a flatbed. This was my second spotting of an Hakosuka in the metal (the first was a few minutes before my first F40 experience, but that is another issue entirely).

This week’s little bit of specialness was a resto project, all set for some grinding:

Like the graceful ageing of a voluptuous starlet (no – not a Toyota). Or maybe Im getting carried away…

Next up will be a selection of some other Skylines Ive seen here. Then Hachirokus, then track cars, then…
