The first triptych that I started (have finished several since) around 9 years ago. Used some fairly cheap canvases as couldn’t really afford much much else at the time. Because of this, the frame of one of them warped a bit pretty quickly, so I gave up on them and started on some new work. Had worked on them a little over the years, then decided to get ’em done after finishing the Matua School toilets job. And as such it’s quite a cool collection of different elements that I’ve been painting at different times. Anpanman and Baikinman for example – we’d not long returned from living in Japan and my wee boy was a big fan!

If it appears that I’m playing catch up with this blog and posting stuff that was finished some time ago (April 2021 in this case), then that’s probably because that’s exactly what I’m doing.

This is a commission from early 2021 “Supidoresa x Supesuinbeda Go”. The “Go” meaning Five as it was the fifth piece that I’d done featuring Speed Racer. The 2nd and 3rd photos show it in it’s new home in Auckland, New Zealand.

“Ahiru ga inainode, koko ni Mario ga imasu!” This is the first piece that I’ve managed to complete this year. Am in the midst of a couple of other projects, which unfortunately aren’t bringing in much $$ at the moment, so this is definitely available for purchase. It would look fantastic in your home. Or office. Or workplace.
